Link-Force AU is recruiting an Estimator for a specialist contractor delivering formwork, reinforcement and concrete packages across major transport infrastructure projects in Sydney. The role is primarily office based, with occasional site visits to translate construction methods into accurate estimates.

The role focuses on quantity take-offs, tender submissions, and pricing of labour, materials and plant.

Qualifications

Estimator – Civil & Concrete Structures

Sydney NSW | $100,000–$120,000 depending on experience

Link-Force AU is recruiting a Estimator for an established specialist contractor delivering formwork, reinforcement and concrete packages across major transport infrastructure projects in Sydney.

The company has a strong track record across tunnel linings, underground cross passages, cavern structures and cut-and-cover works. This opportunity would suit someone with an estimating or quantity surveying background who has good fundamentals in take-offs and tender preparation and wants to develop their knowledge of specialist concrete construction.

The role is primarily office based, with occasional site visits to build practical understanding of construction methods and how these translate into accurate estimates. Previous underground experience is not required.

The role

Working alongside the wider team, your responsibilities will include:

Completing quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.

Assisting with estimates and tender submissions for formwork, reinforcement and concrete packages.

Preparing bills of quantities and obtaining supplier and subcontractor pricing.

Reviewing tender documents to identify scope requirements, exclusions and queries.

Assisting with pricing labour, materials and plant.

Liaising with project teams to understand construction methods and site requirements.

About you

Previous experience in estimating or quantity surveying within construction or civil projects.

Good drawing interpretation, numerical skills and attention to detail.

Some exposure to take-offs, BOQ preparation and tendering.

An understanding of formwork, reinforced concrete or civil works would be valuable.

Comfortable using Excel and keen to develop your estimating skills.

Organised, willing to ask questions and able to work to tender deadlines.

Previous site experience would be an advantage, but is not essential. Solid technical fundamentals and a willingness to learn are key.

What’s on offer

Salary of $100,000–$120,000, depending on experience.
