Job summary

McMahon Services is seeking an experienced Estimator in Darwin to join the Precontracts team. For the right candidate, a Senior Estimator role may also be appointed.

You will prepare cost estimates, manage pricing enquiries, evaluate subcontractor quotes and deliver competitive tenders across Defence, Government and commercial projects in the Northern Territory. Qualifications

• Experience estimating commercial building projects, including tender pricing.
• Defence project exposure is highly desirable for tender work.
• Strong analytical and commercial awareness essential.
• Experience with Expert Estimation or similar software preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project/Primavera P6 is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Able to collaborate effectively within a high-performing team.

About The Role

We're seeking an experienced Estimator to join our Darwin Precontracts team. For the right candidate, we are also open to appointing a Senior Estimator.

Working closely with the Estimating Manager and broader team, you'll play a key role in preparing competitive tenders across a diverse portfolio of Defence, Government and commercial building projects throughout the Northern Territory.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator looking to work on a varied project portfolio while building long-term relationships within the local construction industry.

What You'll Do

What You’ll Bring

Ideally, you will bring experience in some or all of the following:

• Estimating commercial building projects.
• Defence project experience.
• Strong commercial and analytical skills.
• Experience with Expert Estimation or similar estimating software.
• Experience using Microsoft Project, Primavera P6 or similar programming software is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a high-performing team.
