Job summary

Transit Systems NSW is seeking a motivated worker to assist mechanics in heavy vehicle servicing and repairs within a modern workshop in Burwood, NSW. The role involves minor maintenance tasks, tyre removal/replacement, and maintaining a clean workshop environment.

Candidates should have prior workshop experience, be mechanically inclined, and self-motivated. Forklift certification is desirable, and basic data entry/spare parts awareness is helpful.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance workshop experience.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to learn.
• Be self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Forklift certificate is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist mechanics carrying out heavy vehicle servicing and repairs.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Assist mechanics carrying out heavy vehicle servicing and repairs
• Perform minor maintenance tasks
• Remove and replace tyres
• Conduct general workshop cleanliness, tidiness and litter management

TO BE SUCCESSFUL FOR THE ROLE YOU NEED TO HAVE:

• Previousmaintenance workshop experience
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn and develop;
• Be self-motivated
• Forklift certificate (desirable)
• Computer literate basic keyboard skills and data entry
• Understand spare part management
