Job summary

Kelly+Partners Accountants is seeking a partner-level leader to own and grow a client portfolio within our national network. You will hold genuine equity in the business you build, set direction for clients and your team, and access the support of an ASX-listed Top 20 firm.

We offer a clear pathway from Partner to Senior Partner, with relocation options and a robust learning environment including monthly tax and SMSF training and firm-wide programs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Australian public practice, incl. 3+ years at Manager/Senior Manager or as a principal.
• CA qualification through Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand; Registered Tax Agent status is highly regarded.
• Proven record of owning, retaining and growing a client portfolio.
• Deep technical strength in tax, structuring and advisory for privately owned business groups; SMSF experience valued.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and retain a team.
• Commercial judgement with pricing and managing work in progress.
• Proficient with practice management systems (MYOB AE, APS, HowNow, Active Ledger, Xero, QuickBooks).
• Willingness to relocate within Australia for the right opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Own the significant client relationships in the business you lead and set client-first standards.
• Deliver proactive tax planning, structuring and advisory for client groups.
• Build and mentor a high-performing team with CA and postgraduate study support.
• Represent the firm in communities and support causes important to clients and staff.
• Own the profit and loss of the business you lead, including revenue and margins.
• Set turnaround times, deadlines and clear communication with stakeholders.
• Review and sign off complex work across companies, trusts, and SMSFs including Division 7A, CGT and FBT.
• Uphold professional standards and risk framework without exception.
