Job summary

Qube Fremantle is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance of stevedoring assets, ensuring compliance with client, regulatory and company requirements and implementing preventative schedules. You will coordinate maintenance across forklifts, reach stackers and other plant, supervise contractors, support safety initiatives and contribute ideas to boost safety and productivity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a similar role
• Trade qualification as Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or Diesel Fitter
• Current Dogging and/or Rigging Licence
• Strong leadership with ability to plan, direct and monitor a work group
• Strong problem-solving and autonomous work approach
• Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication
• Ability to be flexible in a demanding environment
• Strong safety focus with risk identification and control
• Sound literacy, numeracy and written communication
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook

Responsibilities

• Coordinate site maintenance operations and supervise maintenance activities
• Use Qube’s Maintenance software to monitor needs and KPI compliance
• Coordinate preventative maintenance across Qube’s fleet
• Participate in after-hours on-call breakdowns
• Prioritise defect repairs and work requests
• Keep the National Asset Manager informed of issues affecting Scheduled Maintenance
• Ensure safety hazards and risks are identified and controlled
• Ensure required parts are available for scheduled repairs
• Address day-to-day workplace issues or escalate to the National Asset Manager
• Sign off Contractors in Rapid Qube safety systems with adequate supervision
• Provide continual improvements to enhance safety and productivity of stevedoring equipment
