Job summary

Lindsay Park Racing in Euroa, Victoria, seeks a Veterinary and Speller Assistant (Driver) to coordinate and safely move horses across spelling and training operations, ensuring high welfare and accurate records.

You will drive a 6-horse paddock truck, record movements in Prism, assist with feeding and basic veterinary tasks, and work with the Veterinary & Spelling Manager and Movements team to maintain day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' relevant horse industry experience.
• Strong equine handling and horsemanship skills.
• MR licence or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and carry out internal horse movements.
• Safely handle and transport horses, including racehorses and yearlings.
• Drive a 6-horse paddock truck and tow a 3-horse float when competent.
• Record horse movements, weights and locations in Prism and other required records.
• Assist with spelling duties, including feeding, rugging and unrugging.
• Provide basic equine first aid and routine paddock treatments.
• Assist with veterinary duties and treatments within your level of competence.
