Job summary

Evoenergy ACT is seeking an Electrical Fitter to join our team in Canberra. This full-time role involves constructing and maintaining the ACT electricity network and providing services from Evoenergy distribution to customers.

We offer a starting salary of $94,596 plus 16% superannuation and over $6,000 in allowances, plus a 9-day fortnight, free gym membership, onsite physio, and relocation support to Canberra.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate III Systems Electrician is required.
• High risk license – EWP is essential.
• OH&S General Induction Card is required.
• Asbestos Awareness training is required.
• ACT motor vehicle licence or acceptable equivalent is needed.

Responsibilities

• Distribute asset construction and maintenance including wiring and switchgear upkeep.
• Respond to faults and rectify fault conditions promptly.
• Install services from Evoenergy network to customers’ premises.
• Handle connection and disconnection of supply, including non-payment disconnections.
• Participate in on-call and shift-work rosters per Evoenergy policy.
• Conduct customer quality of supply investigations and infrastructure testing.

As an Electrical Fitter you will undertake a variety of works associated with the construction and maintenance of Evoenergy’s Electrical Network. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of maintaining a future focused electricity network for the ACT.

Key Responsibilities

• Distribution asset construction and maintenance including cable termination, mini pillar maintenance and switchgear maintenance
• Fault response and fault rectification works
• The installation of services from Evoenergy distribution network to customers premises
• Connection and disconnection of supply including non-payment of account disconnections
• Participate in on-call & shift-work rosters as necessary based on Evoenergy policy.
• Customer quality of supply investigations and electrical infrastructure testing

• Previous successful work in field on construction and/or maintenance of network infrastructure.
