Job summary

OCRT Consulting in Canberra is seeking NV1-cleared specialists to support Defence experimentation, wargaming and threat analysis. You will design scenarios, develop threat libraries and adversary representations, and turn findings into actionable insights for senior Defence decision-makers.

Experience in Defence intelligence, Red Team or EXCON is highly regarded, with a focus on data collection, analysis and robust reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience developing threat libraries, ORBATs, and adversary representations for exercises or wargames.
• Background in Defence intelligence, Red Team, OPFOR, exercise planning or EXCON.
• Understanding of joint planning and operational context is highly regarded.

OCRT Consulting is a sovereign, veteran-owned Australian SME delivering professional services across Defence, Government and national security. We're building a team of NV1-cleared experimentation, wargaming and threat specialists to support a Defence client with evidence-based force design and capability decision-making.

The opportunity:

You'll help plan, design, deliver and analyse Defence experimentation and wargaming activities, from tabletop exercises and workshops through to major wargames. That means developing scenarios, threat products and adversary representations, designing experiments and evaluation frameworks, collecting and analysing data, and turning findings into clear, defensible insight for senior Defence decision-makers.

• Experience developing threat libraries, ORBATs, scenarios, vignettes or adversary representations for exercises, wargames or experimentation
• Background in Defence intelligence, Red Team, OPFOR, exercise planning or EXCON
• Understanding of joint planning and operational context - highly regarded

Experimentation Support (Operations Research / Analysis)

• Experience designing or analysing experiments, wargames or analytical studies, including hypotheses, MoE/MoP, data collection plans and post-activity reporting
• Qualitative and quantitative analysis skills, including statistical analysis, modelling or workshop facilitation
• Background as an ORA, operational analyst, wargaming analyst, capability or force design analyst, or ex-DSTG - highly regarded
• Junior and graduate analysts with strong data, research and organisational skills are also encouraged to apply

Essential requirements:

Current NV1 security clearance or higher | Canberra-based
