Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise windows, doors, taps, sinks, toilets and other surfaces.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and remove cobwebs and mildew where required.
• Sweep, vacuum, hose and clean indoor and outdoor areas including driveways and paths.
• Collect and dispose of rubbish and keep areas litter-free.
• Dust furniture and floors, buff/strip/polish vinyl and timber floors as directed.

About Us

Harris Fields State School, located in Logan City south of Brisbane, opened in January 1975 as Smith Road State School. Built on land that was once a poultry farm, the school was later renamed Harris Fields State School after the Harris family.

Today, the school celebrates a vibrant and diverse community, with students from many cultural backgrounds, including Pacific Islander, African, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Your Opportunity

• Clean and sanitise windows, doors, taps, sinks, drinking fountains, toilets, sick bays, cupboards and other surfaces.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and carry out cobweb and mildew removal using extendable equipment where required.
• Sweep, vacuum, hose and clean indoor and outdoor areas, including concrete, asphalt, bitumen and paved surfaces.
• Collect and dispose of rubbish, maintain litter-free areas, and clear materials from drains and gutters around buildings.
• Dust furniture, equipment and fans; remove graffiti and maintain vinyl and timber floors through buffing, stripping and polishing, along with other cleaning duties as directed by the Principal or Business Manager.
