Job summary

Sydney Children's Hospitals Network is seeking an Environmental Services Training and Audit Officer to lead cleaning audits and training at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. The role supports infection control and standards across Environmental Services.

You'll deliver induction training, assess competencies and provide ongoing refresher training, contributing to high-quality care and patient safety within SCHN.

What You’ll Be Doing

The Environmental Services Training and Audit Officer is responsible for delivering comprehensive cleaning audits and training programs to support the Environmental Services team at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. This role plays a critical part in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection control in alignment with NSW Health infection control policies and Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN) guidelines.

The auditing function will involve auditing for compliance with standards and legislative requirements including cleaning, waste and safety.

The training function will involve delivering initial training and induction to all new Environmental Services employees, undertaking competency assessments, providing ongoing refresher training and supporting mandatory training for Environmental Services staff, and also providing training to other staff within the scope of Environmental Services functions.
