Brisbane City Council is seeking an experienced professional in environmental planning to lead strategic projects, policy initiatives and programs that strengthen Brisbane’s resilience.

You will help deliver the council’s flood study program, translate complex technical information into clear advice for the community, stakeholders and senior decision-makers, and coordinate investigations across flood studies, coastal management and related programs.

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex environmental, flood risk, water resource or related projects.
• Strong project management skills including planning, risk management, monitoring and reporting.
• Experience developing and implementing policies, strategies and programs.
• Ability to analyse complex information and provide clear advice to diverse audiences.
• Experience applying environmental legislation, policy and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, research and problem-solving skills.
• Experience delivering outcomes across multidisciplinary teams.
