Job summary

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) seeks an Environmental Consultant to join the Contaminated Site Assessment and Remediation Team in our Perth CBD office, supporting site investigation and remediation projects across WA with strong fieldwork emphasis.

Ideal candidates will have 1–5 years of contaminated land consulting experience, robust field skills, and the ability to supervise field programs and sub-contractors.

Qualifications

  • 1–5 years of contaminated site management consulting experience.
  • Tertiary qualification in geology, hydrogeology, environmental science or related field.
  • Experience supervising field programs and sub-contractors on site.
  • Willingness to travel and holding a valid Australian Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise fieldwork programs and subcontractors on site.
  • Undertake environmental assessments and remediation data collection (soil, groundwater, vapour).
  • Prepare inputs into complex technical reports and assist with client proposals.
  • Support project managers with planning field programs and budget management.

ERM has an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Consultant to join the team in our Perth CBD office to support our Contaminated Site Assessment and Remediation Team (Site Investigation and Remediation services).The ideal candidate will have between 1 and 5 years’ experience in contaminated site management consulting experience, with strong field work skills acquired across a range of site uses and contaminant types. You will be part of a successful technical team responsible for consulting on contaminated sites largely within WA on a range of investigation and remediation projects.If you have the following experience, we would love to hear from you.Previous consulting experience (1 to 5 years) in contaminated land industry;Relevant tertiary qualification (geology, hydrogeology, environmental science, environmental engineering, geotechnical or other related science subject degree);High appreciation and understanding of health & safety requirements on complex work sites, including conducting intrusive drilling and excavation works;Leadership and co-ordination of field programs, including mentoring of junior colleagues;Proven experience in supervising and managing sub-contractors on site;Competency in preliminary and detailed site investigation and sampling techniques involving data collection (soil, water, soil vapour, etc.) is required and a working knowledge of the ASC NEPM;Willingness to travel;Developing report writing skills;Authorised to work full-time in Australia; andFull Class C Drivers Licence issued by an Australian state or territory.Who we areERM is the world’s largest pure play sustainability consulting firm, we partner with the world’s leading organisations, creating innovative solutions to sustainability challenges, and unlocking commercial opportunities that meet the needs of today while preserving opportunity for future generations.Our teamOur contaminated sites team (LPMR service line) continues to be the largest global service area in a business with a history of annual double-digit growth.
