Job summary

Atlas seeks an Environmental Compliance Manager to join our Redmond, WA team. This role supports environmental compliance during design and construction for major transportation projects, with emphasis on Sound Transit and WSDOT, ensuring permits and commitments are met on heavy-civil, rail, and transit work.

You will work with construction teams, regulators, and engineers to proactively manage environmental risk, prepare documentation, mentor staff, and contribute to QA/QC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or related field.
• 5+ years of construction-phase environmental compliance experience.
• Experience with heavy-civil, rail, or transit projects in Washington State.
• CPESC or similar certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support environmental compliance programs for Sound Transit, WSDOT, and local agency transportation projects.
• Interpret and implement environmental permits, approvals, and commitments for complex capital projects.
• Serve as an environmental point of contact during construction, coordinating with Sound Transit and WSDOT staff, contractors, inspectors, and regulators.
• Prepare compliance documentation, inspection reports, corrective action plans, and agency correspondence.
• Mentor junior environmental compliance staff and support field team development.
