Fuse Recruitment is partnering with a well-established consultancy in Melbourne to appoint an Associate – Environmental Approvals. You’ll deliver approvals-focused projects, build capability across the environmental function, and step into a leadership pathway as the team grows.

You’ll join a high-impact team where your experience will be valued and visible, ideal for someone who enjoys technical delivery, mentoring, and working closely with clients and contractors.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in environmental consulting is essential.
• Demonstrated experience in contaminated land.
• Strong knowledge across approvals and project delivery.
• Confident in working with and managing contractors.
• Willing to grow into a Team Lead style role over time.
• Experience in adjacent sectors (e.g., agriculture, waste, construction) is welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver environmental approvals projects end-to-end
• Manage and contribute to contaminated land assessments and related work
• Coordinate and oversee contractors and external stakeholders
• Support growth of the environmental capability (processes, quality, mentoring)
• Build strong client relationships and contribute to project success
