Job summary

Talk Recruitment Ltd in the UK is seeking an Environmental Advisor to provide environmental assistance to pre-construction and construction operations across multiple sites, with a mix of on-site presence and remote coordination. The role requires knowledge of UK environmental legislation, EMS familiarity, and strong communication skills.

A environmental management degree is highly desirable and a UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Up to date knowledge of UK environmental Legislation.
• Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems.
• Degree in environmental management or equivalent - highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• Full UK Driving Licence with flexibility to visit sites.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage own commitments/diary/scheduling.
• Previous employment with a main contractor, sub contractor or Consultancy.
• Previous employment in an Environmental Advisor, Environmental Coordinator, Environmental Manager, Ecologist, Environmental Consultant or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Provide environmental assistance to pre-construction and construction operations.
• Deliver environmental training / Toolbox talks and mentoring to new staff.
• Liaise with Environmental Advisors and Health and Safety Advisors.
• Attend client meetings and senior leadership meetings and draft reports.
• Attend Industry organisations and CECA/BUILD UK forums.
• Regular site inspections and technical support related to management systems on site and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with tenders and prequalification as requested.
• Ensure environmental processes are up to date and communicate changes to management.
