You will lead release processes, coordinate schedules across Salesforce, MuleSoft, EDW, SAP, and other systems, ensuring readiness reviews and adherence to change management. Strong stakeholder engagement is essential.

  • Conduct release readiness, milestone, and go/no-go reviews.
  • Contribute to Release, Deployment, and Implementation Plans with delivery partners.
  • Understand impacts related to branches and code merges with release engineers.
  • Provide regular reporting on release status and ensure change-management compliance.
  • Foster a positive team environment and uphold security standards including baseline clearance.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Enviornment and Release manager to support our client in either Queensland, Western Australia, the Australian Capital Territory, Victoria, New South Wales, the Northern Territory, South Australia, and Tasmania. This is a initially contracted for 12 months with the possibility of extension for a further 12 months. The position offers flexible hybrid working arrangements, with a minimum of2-3 days in the office each week.

As the selected candidate, you will:

  • Support the establishment and maintenance of the Release Management processes in collaboration with stakeholders and third-party suppliers.
  • Coordinate scheduling, planning, and management of releases across multiple applications and portfolios, including Salesforce, MuleSoft, EDW, SAP, and others.
  • Facilitate release content reviews, prioritise backlogs, and develop the release schedule, balancing technical dependencies with business requirements.
  • Conduct release readiness, milestone, and business go/no-go reviews to ensure seamless deployments.
  • Contribute to the creation of Release, Deployment, and Implementation Plans, while liaising with delivery partners such as NDIA teams, Services Australia, and vendors.
  • Understand impacts related to branches and code merges by working closely with release engineers.
  • Provide regular reporting on release status, contribute to ICT Change Management, and ensure compliance with all change processes.
  • Foster a positive team environment, support continuous improvement initiatives, and uphold security standards, including baseline security clearance.

To be successful in this role you should have:

  • Proven experience in planning, executing, and managing software releases within complex ICT environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an aptitude for stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
  • Excellent organisational skills to coordinate multiple releases and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with release management tools for planning, tracking, and deployment.
  • Analytical skills to assess release data, identify issues, and support process improvements.
  • Experience working across cross-functional teams including developers, testers, and operations.

It is desirable if you have:

  • Project management experience, especially within software development projects.
  • A thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Awareness of contemporary AI capabilities and risks, with the ability to responsibly utilise AI tools to improve ICT processes.

Candidates must be Australian citizens and be able to obtain a baseline security clearance.
