ALS Coal Technology is seeking one full-time Coal Quality Tester to join its Riverview team. This entry-level position offers hands-on testing work with training provided and potential long-term employment.

Role involves physical coal testing, working with high-temperature ovens, and accurate data recording. Two rotating shifts are available, and safety, quality, and teamwork are emphasized.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; full training provided.
• Strong focus on safety, quality and teamwork.
• Solid numeracy, literacy and basic computer skills.
• Physically fit; capable of repetitive manual handling in dusty/hot environment.
• Willingness to learn, wear PPE and meet production deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Safely handle and process large coal and coke samples.
• Load/unload material from ovens operating at high temperatures.
• Perform physical testing (crushing, sizing, dividing).
• Record and transfer validated test results into systems.
• General site duties and safety incident reporting.
