Job summary

Fortinet, Inc. is seeking a dynamic Enterprise Systems Engineer for SecOps to become the go-to technical authority for Fortinet’s SecOps portfolio and guide large enterprise engagements.

You will lead discovery workshops, design architectures, and drive PoCs, demonstrations, and technical assessments while mentoring regional Systems Engineers and enabling partners to deliver security outcomes aligned with customer needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in network security or application security.
• Expert knowledge in SIEM, SOAR, XDR, Threat Intelligence, Security Analytics, Incident Response, SOC Operations.
• Strong understanding of Network Security, Endpoint Security, Cloud Security, Identity Security, OT Security.
• Business skills: executive communication, strategic thinking, customer-facing presentation, consultative selling, stakeholder management.

TheSecOps Subject Matter Expert (SME) serves as the technical leader and trusted advisor for Fortinet's Security Operations portfolio. The role combines deep technical expertise, customer-facing presales engagement, business alignment, and internal enablement to drive the successful adoption of Fortinet's SecOps solutions.

The SME supports account teams, partners, customers, and fellow Systems Engineers by providing advanced architecture guidance, solution positioning, competitive differentiation, and subject matter leadership across the Security Operations domain.

As a Systems Engineer, you will:

A successful SecOps SME is recognized as the "go-to" expert for Security Operations within the organization, demonstrates exceptional technical depth, influences strategic customer decisions, enables peers and partners, and helps establish Fortinet as a credible leader in modern SOC and SecOps transformation initiatives - more details below

Technical Leadership

• Act as the primary technical authority for Fortinet SecOps solutions.
• Maintain expert-level knowledge of the products within the SecOps portfolio like FortiSIEM, FortiSOAR, FortiEDR, FortiRecon and others
• Understand integration points within the Fortinet Security Fabric.
• Stay current with industry trends, threat landscapes, SOC modernization, AI-driven security operations and emerging technologies.

Customer Engagement

• Lead advanced technical discovery workshops.
• Support strategic customer opportunities and large enterprise engagements.
• Conduct executive and technical presentations.
• Design solution architectures aligned with customer security and business requirements.
• Drive technical validation activities including:
• Proof of Concepts (PoCs)
• Demonstrations
• Workshops
• Technical assessments
• Act as trusted advisor to CISO, SOC, Security Architecture, and Security Operations teams.

Presales Support

• Support regional Systems Engineers and Account Managers throughout the sales cycle.
• Provide expertise during qualification and opportunity development.
• Develop competitive positioning against key vendors.
• Assist with RFIs, RFPs and technical proposal development.
• Influence account strategies where SecOps solutions can create customer value.

Internal Enablement

• Mentor and coach field Systems Engineers.
• Deliver technical enablement sessions and workshops.
• Develop reusable technical assets including:
• Demo environments
• Solution playbooks
• Architecture guides
• Best practices
• Competitive battlecards
• Support certification and skills development initiatives.

Partner Development

• Enable strategic partners and MSSPs on Fortinet SecOps solutions.
• Participate in partner workshops and technical sessions.
• Assist partners in building managed security and SOC services based on the Fortinet platform.
• Support partner-led opportunities requiring advanced technical expertise.
