Job summary

At Atlassian, a hands-on Enterprise Security Engineer will implement and operate security controls across identity, endpoints, cloud, and data protection to reduce risk without slowing the business.

The role collaborates with IT, security, and product teams to deliver secure, scalable security improvements across Atlassian’s corporate environment. This is a critical, hands-on security engineering position.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in cybersecurity or security engineering.
• Hands-on in IAM, endpoints, cloud, and data protection.
• Experience automating security tasks with scripting and APIs.
• Knowledge of vendor risk assessments and third‑party risk.
• Strong troubleshooting and technical documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, operate, and maintain security controls across identity, endpoints, cloud (AWS/GCP), SaaS, and data protection.
• Remediate gaps in access controls, device posture, SaaS configurations, and data protections.
• Roll out secure baseline configurations and paved-path implementations across internal teams.
• Participate in security reviews for new tools, workflows, and SaaS integrations.
• Support physical security integrations with identity platforms and monitor risk.
