Job summary

The University of Wollongong is seeking an Enterprise Security Architect on a 15-month fixed-term contract to lead security architecture across the university, shaping its cyber security program and ensuring secure and resilient technology solutions.

You will collaborate with senior leaders and technology teams to apply IAM, cloud security, Zero Trust, and governance frameworks, translating complex concepts into business outcomes that safeguard research, teaching and administration.

Qualifications

• Experience leading security architecture reviews and influencing technology decisions.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes for governance and risk.
• Proven track record in a large, complex environment with cloud-enabled solutions.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead security architecture reviews and define design principles for enterprise systems.
• Collaborate with senior leaders, architects and technology teams to secure cloud and on-prem solutions.
• Ensure architecture aligns with NIST, ISO 27001 and Essential Eight where applicable.
