Job summary

UniSC is seeking a strategic Planning and Performance Specialist to coordinate enterprise planning, performance reporting, and governance across a large university. You will connect data, people, and processes to ensure planning cycles run smoothly and provide clear, actionable insights for leadership.

Qualifications

• Completion of a relevant degree and at least 4 years' experience in enterprise planning, performance reporting or governance functions, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in planning and performance frameworks, including KPI development, target setting and reporting cycles.
• High-level analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to produce concise, high-quality reports for executive audiences.
• Experience working within legislative, regulatory, or compliance frameworks in a complex organisation (higher education experience desirable).
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Advanced computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite and reporting tools; and
• Experience developing guidance materials or delivering training is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support the delivery of the University's enterprise planning and performance reporting frameworks, including the Strategic Plan and Annual Operational Plan (AOP).
• Lead the coordination of quarterly performance reporting, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant reporting against strategic objectives, KPIs, and AOP targets.
• Coordinate the development, review, and maintenance of KPIs and operational targets, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and legislative requirements.
• Provide governance and reporting support for enterprise initiatives and key Commonwealth strategic reporting requirements, with a focus on ensuring alignment to strategic outcomes.
• Provide analytical insights and advice to support executive decision-making and organisational performance monitoring; and
• Drive continuous improvement of planning, reporting, and governance processes, systems, and tools, including leading the annual review of the Strategic Plan, supporting development of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and contributing to the refresh of the four-year Strategic Plan and other Commonwealth strategic reporting requirements.

• Level 7, $105,843 - $115,703 p.a., plus up to 17% employer superannuation
• Full-time (36.25 hours per week), ongoing appointment

You will

You will possess:
