Job summary

Showtime Consulting is seeking a Senior Data & AI Engineer to join a growing team delivering enterprise-scale Data and AI solutions. This hands‑on role sits at the intersection of Data, Software, ML, and AI engineering, responsible for building data foundations, platforms, and enterprise integrations to support AI in production.

You will collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, architects, and stakeholders while uplifting engineering capability across the organization in Australia

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; strong background in software, data, platform or AI engineering.
• 8+ years of experience delivering production AI and data solutions at enterprise scale.
• Strong architectural, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Collaborative leadership with mentoring and team development.
• Commitment to secure, scalable, high‑quality technology solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data platforms, pipelines, and AI engineering solutions.
• Deliver end‑to‑end AI initiatives from concept to production deployment and support.
• Develop robust data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and integration capabilities.
• Design and implement cloud‑native AI platforms and production‑ready ML solutions.
• Build and optimize APIs, microservices, and event‑driven architectures.
• Develop and deploy AI agents and agentic workflows integrated with enterprise platforms.
• Implement RAG solutions using vector databases and modern LLM frameworks.
• Collaborate with data scientists to operationalise models and accelerate delivery.
• Establish CI/CD, IaC, security, governance, monitoring, and Responsible AI practices.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers.
