Job summary

AustralianSuper is hiring AI Software Engineers at mid and senior levels to join the AI & Automation team. You will design, build and productionise enterprise AI and agentic solutions using Python, .NET/C#, and Azure AI Foundry services in a hybrid environment.

You’ll work across AI agents, orchestration, automation of complex workflows, and integrations with enterprise systems while following responsible AI, privacy, and governance practices.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying production applications in complex enterprise environments.
• Pro-code development in Python and/or .NET/C# in an Azure AI Platform environment.
• Experience engineering AI-enabled or agentic applications in enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of Generative AI patterns including LLMs, RAG, embeddings, tool calls and orchestration.
• Senior level: ownership of engineering outcomes and ability to coach others.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test and productionise enterprise-grade AI solutions using Python, .NET/C# and Azure.
• Develop AI agents, RAG capabilities, orchestration workflows, APIs and integrations with enterprise systems.
• Engineer production-ready solutions with automated testing, CI/CD, observability, security and resilience.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, security, data, platforms and business teams to solve complex problems.
• Apply responsible AI, privacy, security and governance throughout the engineering lifecycle.
• Senior role: provide technical guidance and mentoring.
