Job summary

NSW Health's Grafton Base Hospital is seeking an Enrolled Nurse to support the Discharge Lounge, coordinating with Nursing Unit Managers, nursing staff and medical teams to move patients to discharge as early as possible. This permanent part-time role involves delivering nursing care in a safe, competent manner and contributing to a welcoming, supportive healthcare community.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Nursing Unit Managers, nursing staff, medical teams and the Manager Patient Flow to identify and transfer patients to the discharge lounge from inpatient units at the earliest time possible.
• Provide nursing care for patients in a safe and competent manner according to current nursing knowledge.

About the role

The Discharge Lounge provides short term care and supervision for patients waiting to be discharged from the hospital.
Grafton Base Hospital is seeking an Enrolled Nurse to liaise with NursingUnitManagers,nursingstaff,medicalteamsandthe Manager PatientFlowtoidentifyand transfer patients to the discharge lounge from the inpatient units at the earliest time of day possible.
Primarilyresponsibility to provide nursing care for patients in a safe and competent manner. Nursing practiceshould reflect current knowledge of nursing and related disciplines.
