Where you’ll be working: Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital Perioperative Department services 8 Operating Theatres including specialities such as ENT, O&G, Urology, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Plastics, Vascular, Dental, Endoscopy and Emergency cases.
The department offers supported learning and professional development with a rotating roster including weekends and on-call requirements.
What you’ll be doing: The Scrub/Scout nurse works with the multidisciplinary team to provide patient services that is high quality and safe for all. The role includes advocating for the patient, setting up the operating rooms and maintain sterility, ensuring availability of required instruments, assisting the surgical team, correctly completing surgical documentations, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
