Job summary

SESLHD's Prince of Wales Hospital invites an Enrolled Nurse to join the Respiratory & Infectious Disease Unit. You will provide safe, patient-centred nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, contribute to care planning and maintain accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Current registration as Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• Qualified in medicines administration including intravenous therapy (NMBA approved).
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, carers, other care providers, hospital clinicians and team.
• Supports working in a person-centred environment.
• Current professional practice knowledge base.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use health information systems.
• Knowledge of risk management, safety and quality principles for Enrolled Nurses.
• Current NSW Driver's Licence (P2 or higher).

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, holistic, patient-centred nursing care under RN supervision.
• Assess and respond to patient needs; contribute to care planning and delivery.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate with patients and families.
• Apply critical thinking to prioritise care while promoting dignity and safety.
• Maintain current knowledge and participate in ongoing development and training.
