Job summary

Bayside Health is recruiting Enrolled Nurses to join the Nurse Pool across Alfred Health sites within Melbourne. You will support general and specialty areas, including oncology, trauma and cardiology, with education and mentoring available.

Join a collaborative team with rotating rosters, comprehensive staff benefits, and opportunities to develop skills across multiple wards within a supportive framework.

Qualifications

• Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and eligible to practise.
• Graduate year completed and ready to perform Enrolled Nurse duties.
• Demonstrates patient-centred care and effective communication with patients, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care across general and specialty areas including oncology, trauma, infectious diseases, respiratory and cardiovascular units.
• Work as part of the Nurse Pool to support ward staffing across multiple sites.
• Participate in rotating rosters including mornings, afternoons, nights, weekends and public holidays.

The Department

The Nursing Workforce Planning Unit provides support across Alfred Health through Pool cover. Our team comprises of people that can work across a variety of specialties and adapt to new ward environments every day. Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery, improvement, research, and education. We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne and a major provider of specialist state-wide services to the people of Victoria.

The Position Summary

Working as a part of the Nurse Pool team you will have the unique experience of working across a wide range of general and specialty areas. These include Oncology, trauma, infectious diseases, respiratory, renal, neurology, emergency, cardiology, neurosurgery, and burns. As a Nurse Pool team member, you will be provided with education and support Opportunity to consolidate skills Exposure to different specialties within a supportive framework Access to a Nurse Educator.

Skills and Qualifications Required

• Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
• Have successfully completed a Graduate year.
• Demonstrates the appropriate competencies and skills as per the relevant Enrolled Nurse classification
• Be a motivated individual who enjoys the challenge of working in a team environment
• Possess a strong understanding and background in Patient-Centred care
• Have the ability to maintain a high level of communication with patients, staff, and visitors
• Be available to work on a rotating roster (morning, afternoon & night duty including weekends and public holidays)
