Job summary

Jem Health in Australia is seeking a Registered Nurse/Occupational Health Assessor (OHA) for a permanent part-time role, 2–3 days weekly, in Blacktown and CBD clinics. You will perform pre-employment medicals, audiometry, spirometry, ECGs, and other health assessments, ensuring high-quality reporting and privacy compliance.

The successful candidate will hold AHPRA or ESSA accreditation, current First Aid/CPR, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Registration/accreditation with AHPRA or ESSA is required.
• Current First Aid and CPR certifications are essential.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are expected.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and two-screen setups.
• Ability to work both autonomously and within a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational health assessments including pre-employment medicals, audiometry, spirometry, ECGs, drug screening, and functional capacity tests.
• Provide timely, accurate reporting and maintain privacy compliance.
• Support health initiatives and client relationship management.
• Manage stock levels and equipment; contribute to safety culture.

The Role

An opportunity has presented through growth for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse or Exercise Physiologist to join the Jem Health team as a Registered Nurse/Occupational Health Assessor (OHA) on a permanent part-time basis, for immediate start . Your role will be to provide exceptional service, consistent quality and attention to detail in the delivery of employment-related health assessments and occupational health initiatives. This role is anticipated to be offered at 2-3 days per week, and will be based in both our Blacktown and CBD clinics.

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

• Occupational Health Assessments including pre-employment medicals, audiometry, spirometry, ECGs, drug screening, functional capacity assessments and fitness testing.
• Timely and accurate reporting
• High level compliance and observation of privacy act
• Worker health checks
• General administration
• Monitoring and maintaining stock levels & equipment
• Health and wellness projects, initiatives, training and promotion
• Contribute to client relationship management, continuous improvement and business growth initiatives
• Commitment and compliance to strong safety culture

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate the following:

• High interest in occupational health
• Registration/accreditation with AHPRA or ESSA
• Current and maintained First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain/renew)
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build rapport
• Intermediate to strong computer skills including demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and using two screens
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to learn and grow
• High level of professionalism
• A very high level of care and attention to detail
• Exceptional time management, organisational skills and ability to work autonomously and as a team

• Desirable but not essential Criteria
• Experience/exposure to Occupational Health
• Certificate IV or Diploma in WHS

• Valid Drivers Licence
