Job summary

Springwood Family Medical Centre, part of Wentworth Healthcare Limited, is seeking an enthusiastic RN or EEN to join their general practice team located in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney.

You will assist GPs with procedures, perform immunisations, wound care, ECGs and other clinical tasks within scope, and contribute to Chronic Disease Management and health assessments. AHPRA registration is required; immunisation certification is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as an RN or EEN.
• Experience in general practice and chronic disease management.
• Ability to work independently and provide patient-centred care.
• Experience with Best Practice Medical Software.
• Immunisation certification and IV medication qualifications are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Assist GPs with procedures
• Minor surgery and clinical assessments
• Coordinate Chronic Disease Management (CDM)
• GP Management Plans
• Team Care Arrangements and Health Assessments
• Perform immunisations, wound care, ECGs, spirometry, ear syringing and other clinical procedures within scope of practice
• Educate patients on preventative health, chronic disease management and healthy lifestyle choices
• Maintain accurate clinical records using Best Practice software
• Participate in quality improvement activities, infection control and accreditation requirements
• Work collaboratively with doctors, reception staff and allied health professionals to provide outstanding patient care
