Marian Catholic College Kenthurst, part of Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese, invites applications for an enthusiastic English Teacher in a permanent, full-time role commencing Term 1, 2027. The role focuses on developing literacy, language and literature skills while fostering confident communicators in a device-free learning environment for Years 7–10.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications and the ability to teach English in a secondary school setting in accordance with NESA requirements.

Responsabilités

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that cater to the physical, social and intellectual development of students.
• Inspire students to explore a range of artistic techniques, materials, processes and visual forms, developing their creativity and individual artistic expression.
• Create and maintain a safe, inclusive and challenging learning environment that encourages experimentation, critical thinking and artistic growth.
• Support students to develop their understanding of artmaking, art criticism and art history through meaningful learning experiences.
• Adhere to assessment schedules and maintain accurate records of student achievement and progress.
• Demonstrate strong pedagogical knowledge and continually enhance the learning and teaching of English.
• Develop effective assessment strategies and differentiate learning activities to meet diverse student needs.
• Work creatively and constructively within the school community, collaborating with colleagues to support student learning and wellbeing.
• Set high, achievable expectations for yourself and your students, fostering a culture of creativity, achievement and lifelong learning.
