Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Australia seeks an Engineering Technician to support testing, inspections and validation of software and system functionality. You will troubleshoot issues and assist with product verification activities in a hands-on engineering environment.

You will collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to drive continuous improvement and help deliver industry-leading solutions that meet customer expectations.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent required.
  • Specialized skill training/certification may be required.
  • Up to 2 years of successful experience in area of responsibility and knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Support engineering studies, design reviews, inspections, quality audits, and the collection, organization, and maintenance of engineering data and documentation.
  • Assist with preparing charts, graphs, diagrams, specifications, and technical documentation that support engineering processes and procedures.
  • Perform routine testing, troubleshooting, data analysis, and technical tasks while helping identify and resolve straightforward engineering-related issues.
  • Support the assembly, evaluation, and refinement of prototypes, components, and systems in a hands-on engineering environment.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to solve problems, recommend solutions to routine challenges, and seek guidance on complex or non-routine issues.

Join our team as an Engineering Technician and play a key role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and quality of innovative products. In this hands-on position, you'll perform testing and inspections, validate software and system functionality, troubleshoot technical issues, and support product verification activities. Working alongside Engineering and Quality teams, you'll help drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to delivering industry-leading solutions that exceed customer expectations.

What your day may look like:
  • Support engineering studies, design reviews, inspections, quality audits, and the collection, organization, and maintenance of engineering data and documentation.
  • Assist with preparing charts, graphs, diagrams, specifications, and technical documentation that support engineering processes and procedures.
