Job summary

Wilmar Sugar Australia Limited, Kalamia Mill in the Burdekin region, seeks an Engineering Superintendent – EIC to lead the Electrical, Instrumentation & Control maintenance across the site, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operations during crush and year-round.

You will shape the maintenance schedule, manage the budget, work with reliability, operations and planning teams, and mentor a capable team while using SAP to drive work flow and asset lifecycle improvements.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent hands-on industry experience.
• Electrical trade licence.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior engineering or trade-based role in heavy industry.
• Proven leadership and team-building skills.
• Experience with reliability and maintenance practices.
• Experience with SAP and maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the EIC maintenance team to ensure safe and reliable mill operations.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance activities including shutdowns during crush and day-to-day support.
• Manage the EIC maintenance budget and support longer-term asset and capital planning.
• Work closely with operations, reliability, and scheduling teams to prioritise work and minimise downtime.
• Lead, coach, and develop your team while driving safety, performance, and continuous improvement.
