About the opportunity

This role leads the engineering and quality teams, managing both mechanical and electrical engineers. The position combines 75% engineering with 25% quality responsibility, including supplier engagement and compliance oversight.

To achieve these objectives, you will lead engineering development, manage quality systems, and engage with suppliers nationally and internationally. You will oversee customer orders, warranty reviews, compliance audits, and collaborate closely with supply chain, operations, and service teams. This is a dynamic role offering scope to shape the division, contribute to product development, and step into senior leadership with visibility across the company. The journey over the next three to five years will see the successful candidate building capability, leading growth initiatives, and expanding R&D scope.

About you

You are an experienced engineering leader with a background in mechanical or electrical disciplines. You bring strong leadership and technical expertise with the ability to deliver outcomes aligned with strategy.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Tertiary qualification in engineering (mechanical or electrical)
  • Extensive leadership experience within engineering and quality functions
  • Experience in project management and supplier engagement
  • Proven record within manufacturing or assembly environments
  • ISO accreditation exposure
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
  • Driver's licence
  • Ability to meet medical and police clearance requirements
