Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support delivery of engineering consulting and capital projects in Sydney and across Australia. You will assist with planning, coordination and client relationships while working with multidisciplinary teams to meet scope, schedule, budget and safety targets.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, with PM training highly regarded. It is a permanent full-time position offering hybrid working and competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering engineering, infrastructure, construction or consulting projects.
• Knowledge of scope, schedule, cost and risk management.
• Strong organisation and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management.
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Understanding of health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing small projects and deliverables across engineering consulting and capital projects.
• Support Project Managers on medium to large, complex projects.
• Coordinate activities across engineering, design, quality, safety, cost and schedule.
• Monitor performance against objectives, budgets and timelines.
• Participate in meetings and maintain stakeholder relationships.
• Assist with project administration, reporting and commercial activities.
• Contribute to safety, quality and continuous improvement culture.
• Collaborate with teams to achieve project outcomes.
• Support business development and future opportunities.
