Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support delivery of engineering consulting and capital projects in Sydney and across Australia. You will assist with planning, coordination and client relationships while working with multidisciplinary teams to meet scope, schedule, budget and safety targets.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, with PM training highly regarded. It is a permanent full-time position offering hybrid working and competitive salary.

As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll support the successful delivery of engineering consulting and capital projects, working alongside experienced project professionals to deliver outcomes safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

In this role, you'll contribute to project planning, coordination and delivery while building strong client relationships and supporting multidisciplinary teams. You'll play an important role in helping projects achieve their objectives in relation to scope, schedule, budget, quality and safety.

Job Summary & Responsibilities

We are seeking a permanent full-time Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of engineering consulting and capital projects.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Assisting in the management and delivery of small engineering consulting and capital projects.
• Supporting Project Managers and Senior Project Managers on medium to large and complex projects.
• Coordinating project activities including engineering, design, quality, safety, cost and schedule management.
• Monitoring project performance against agreed objectives, budgets and timelines.
• Participating in project and client meetings and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
• Supporting project administration, reporting and commercial activities.
• Contributing to a strong culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement.
• Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Assisting with business development and opportunities to secure future work.
• Supporting the development and implementation of project management processes and systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Relevant project management training or certifications will be highly regarded.

Skills & Experience
