Job summary

Google is seeking an Engineering Manager for Google Photos Growth in Australia. You will guide cross-functional teams across Android and iOS, shaping product strategy and growth initiatives while mentoring engineers to reach their potential and ensuring high-quality delivery.

Responsibilities include partnering with Product and UX to set goals, defining long-term technical direction, coaching engineers across multiple platforms, and allocating resources to drive scalable, user-centric features

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

Responsibilities

Partner closely with cross-functional peers such as Product and UX to collaboratively define the goal and strategy for growing and activating new users on Google Photos.
Define and influence technical direction and long-term strategy in conjunction with peer leads, helping the team make balanced tradeoffs, and prioritize engineering excellence investments in a systemic way.
Manage an engineering team across Android and iOS including formal career management and coaching to help the team grow in directions that are exciting to them.
