Job summary

ResMed is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers in delivering scalable, cloud-native healthcare software solutions. The role blends hands-on coding with people leadership and requires strong collaboration with architects, product managers, and other engineers to drive high-impact outcomes.

You will own delivery, promote best practices, and participate in on-call rotations as needed, with opportunities to influence design and architecture across global teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Experienced People Manager who takes ownership and collaborates well with team members and cross-functional groups.
• Experience leading a software development team through multiple product/platform releases.
• Experience making significant individual contributions as a Senior Engineer.
• Interface with other project stakeholders to ensure system objectives are balanced with overall project objectives.
• Provide product design leadership for the project team, including ongoing design and implementation review.
• Experience with NoSQL databases.
• Experience delivering at large scale.
• Experience building scalable, available, and low-latency cloud-native systems.
• Experience with AI coding assistants to solve operational and business problems.
• Experience with messaging systems (pub/sub-queues, request/response) and data streaming.

• May be part of an on-call support rotation.
