Job summary

Halcyon Knights is building a new engineering leadership role to shape the future of its growing SaaS platform that connects carriers, customers and business systems. You will own technical direction, nurture a high-performing team, and implement scalable engineering practices.

You’ll work with cross-functional teams, influence architecture, improve delivery and testing, and help hire the engineers who will join and grow the function as the business scales internationally.

Qualifications

• Experience leading software engineers in a SaaS, product or scaling business.
• Strong engineering background and technical credibility for architecture decisions.
• Experience improving delivery, testing, DevOps and release practices.
• Practical understanding of reliability and security in production systems.
• Ability to bring structure and accountability while staying adaptable as the business grows.
• Curiosity about AI and emerging tools, with focus on value.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering team and shape architecture, solution design and key decisions.

I'm working with a growing SaaS company modernising the technology behind it. Their platform connects carriers, customers and business systems, giving companies the visibility and automation to move goods more efficiently.

With plans to expand into the UK and US and significant investment in AI, the business is at a pivotal stage of growth. They're creating a new engineering leadership role for someone who wants to help shape what comes next.

You won't be stepping into someone else's shoes. You'll have the trust and autonomy to make the role your own, shape how the team works and help build the engineering function as it grows.

There's a real opportunity to improve delivery and engineering practices, influence the platform's technical direction and help hire the team you'll lead.

The Technology
