Job summary

City of Ryde invites three Engineering Assistants for a 6-month internship within the Engineering & Project Delivery team. You will support infrastructure assets, inspections, and design activities using AutoCAD Civil3D, gaining hands-on experience in a Local Government setting.

You must be enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering and demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and safety awareness. A Class C Driver Licence is preferred, with flexible working and mentoring opportunities provided.

Qualifications

• Current enrolment in a Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent degree.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with engineering investigations and infrastructure projects.
• Supporting site inspections and field data collection.
• Assisting with asset management activities and reporting.
• Supporting design and drafting activities.
• Assisting with project administration and documentation.
• Working collaboratively with engineers, surveyors and project teams.
• Contributing to projects that benefit the Ryde community.
