Job summary

Air Liquide Australia is seeking highly motivated engineering graduates for its 2027 Graduate Program. The 18‑month rotations across core business units are designed to challenge thinking and provide a comprehensive view of operations.

Upon completion, graduates may move into permanent roles aligned with their skills and career pathway. Ideal candidates hold a Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical engineering degree, with a strong collaborative mindset and commitment to safety.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or postgraduate Engineering degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical (2024, 2025, or due to complete by December 2026).
  • Interest in hands-on project work and growth into leadership roles.
  • Strong teamwork and ethical standards are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in rotations across core business units to gain broad operational exposure.
  • Contribute to plant production, reporting, and analysis activities.
  • Support daily operations, maintenance, inventory control, safety and quality tasks.
  • Engage with operations, engineering and sales teams to understand customer impact.
  • Develop troubleshooting skills and assist with solutions during plant and facility issues.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

As a Graduate in our Engineering stream, you'll have the opportunity to work across a variety of hands‑on projects to gain valuable experience, including

  • Collaborating with our leaders and technical specialists to support daily operations, maintenance, inventory control, safety, and quality activities.

  • Gaining practical experience in plant production, reporting, and analysis.

  • Being involved in productivity and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Learning and progressing your understanding of operations through engagement with the operations team.

  • Understanding our customers' integral role in our business through exposure to our customer‑facing engineering and sales teams.

  • Developing troubleshooting skills during plant and facility issues and assisting with solutions.

  • Preparing and reviewing documents required by the Company, local regulatory, corporate safety, and industrial standards.

To be eligible to apply for our Graduate Program, you will:

  • Have a valid and full work rights for a minimum of 18 months from January 2027.
  • Have completed an undergraduate or postgraduate Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical) degree in the last three years (i.e. 2024, 2025) or be due to complete by December 2026.
  • Be available to commence full time employment from January 2027.
