Job summary

Department of Defence seeks an experienced engineering leader to provide expert advice, govern engineering processes, and ensure regulatory compliance across the capability lifecycle. You will direct a team of engineering managers and engineers to achieve capability outcomes through stakeholder engagement and risk management.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, safety, and continuous improvement, with eligibility for BDCP remuneration under the Defence pay framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering from an Australian institution or equivalent satisfying Washington Accord recognition.
• Chartered Professional Engineer or Fellow/Member status within 12 months may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee engineering governance, risk management and compliance processes.
• Assure the Technical Integrity of materiel for IWNSPO as fit-for-service and safe.
• Provide direction to project and Engineering Managers to maintain Technical Integrity.
