Job summary

The Gold Coast City Council is seeking experienced Boilermakers (Engineering Fabricators) to join their Fabrication team. You will perform boilermaker/welding, fabrication, maintenance and repair tasks in workshop and site environments across various projects including vehicles, plant and infrastructure assets.

This hands-on role emphasizes diverse work, problem-solving and delivering quality outcomes within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Boilermaker/welding) or equivalent
• Unrestricted C Class Driver Licence
• Sound boilermaker, welding and fabrication skills
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and measurements
• Experience with a range of materials and fabrication processes
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills and ability to work with customers and other trades
• Ability to manage priorities and complete work within required timeframes

Responsibilities

• Undertake boilermaker/welding, fabrication, maintenance and repair work in workshop and site environments.
• Work on a diverse range of projects across vehicles, plant, infrastructure assets and structural steelwork.
• Collaborate with the team and customers to deliver safe, quality fabrication solutions.
• Interpret project drawings and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and installation.
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality and efficiency on all tasks.
