Alva Energy is seeking an Engineering Director to lead engineering from screening through design maturity and field execution for a 250 MWe steam-turbine power plant. You will own multi-discipline integration, EPC performance, and major equipment direction, coordinating internal and external engineers and site stakeholders.

You’ll drive stage-gated maturity (FEL-1 to FEL-3), develop specs, and translate engineering to field execution while building and guiding a high-caliber team in a hard-tech

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, Industrial, Petroleum, Chemical, Civil or Electrical engineering.
• 8+ years in power plant systems engineering or leading EPC/Owner’s Engineer projects.
• Strong knowledge of steam cycles and power conversion systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to sites and suppliers.
• Experience leading internal and external engineering teams.
• Background in a hard-tech startup delivering complex systems from concept to deployment.

Responsabilités

• Lead multi-discipline engineering delivery across mechanical, electrical/I&C, civil/structural.
• Own plant power integration and system design for modifications.
• Manage EPCs and contractors: scopes, interfaces, reviews, and changes.
• Drive engineering maturity from FEL-1 to FEL-3 with gate reviews.
• Develop specs and review technical deliverables for EPC and major equipment.
• Set technical direction for steam turbines, condensers, and feedwater systems.
• Translate engineering into field execution and support construction.
• Build and lead the engineering team, improving standards and cadence.
