Job summary

Compare the Market Australia is seeking an Engineering Delivery Lead to drive successful delivery of technical initiatives across software squads. You will bridge business and technical teams, ensure smooth execution, release management, and governance while supporting multiple pods with strategy-to-work translation.

You’ll lead end-to-end delivery, facilitate agile ceremonies, manage backlogs, and align delivery with commercial outcomes.

Qualifications

Degree in a technology-related field or equivalent industry experience (certification desirable)
3+ years in software delivery roles (e.g., Delivery Lead, Scrum Master, Iteration Manager)
Proven experience in agile delivery, release management, and supporting multiple cross-functional teams
Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile (Scrum, Kanban), and modern delivery tools (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps)
Strong organisation, facilitation, and communication skills
Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and problem-solving abilities
Collaborative, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning
Effective team leadership through coaching, influence, and agile mindset

Responsibilities

Delivery Execution & Coordination: Lead end-to-end software delivery across cross-functional teams, ensuring timely, high-quality outcomes. Facilitate agile ceremonies, maintain team backlogs, and translate initiatives into sprint-ready tasks.
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration: Partner with Engineering Managers, Product Owners, and Project Managers to align priorities, manage plans, and ensure clear, consistent communication through tools like RAID logs. Enable seamless handovers between business and tech teams.
Governance & Compliance: Ensure all delivery activities align with CTM’s delivery framework (CTM Flow), meeting commercial, security, and regulatory requirements within auditable processes.
Continuous Improvement & Metrics: Track delivery health, manage risks, and resolve blockers. Drive initiatives to improve planning, estimation, and delivery efficiency.
Team Enablement & Culture: Support team capability growth and foster a high-performance, agile culture through knowledge sharing, collaboration, and continuous learning.
