Job summary

John Holland is seeking an Engineering Assurance Manager to lead and improve the engineering assurance strategy across tenders and live projects at our Fortitude Valley location. You will coordinate internal resources, SMEs and external partners to ensure solutions meet client needs and are fit for purpose.

The role emphasizes risk, value, and technical excellence, with involvement in tender development, mobilisation and delivery across multiple project types in Australia.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Chartered Engineer status (or equivalent) and registration as a Professional Engineer are expected.
• Experience leading technical delivery and assurance across major tenders and complex projects.
• Broad technical engineering knowledge with strong commercial acumen.
• Proven ability to manage engineering, safety, environmental and quality risks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering assurance process across tenders and projects, monitoring progress, risks and opportunities.
• Coordinate technical reviews and assurance activities with SMEs and external partners.
• Support planning and delivery of safe, sustainable, and commercially sound technical solutions.
• Establish and monitor engineering assurance, compliance and reporting processes.
• Identify engineering requirements, resourcing needs and technical risks for tenders and projects.
• Lead improvement initiatives and KPI development for Engineering Assurance.
