About The Role
  • The Mining Engineer will manage short-term plans and schedules, aligning them with our medium-to-long-term plans. You'll also have the chance to explore drill and blast planning, providing broader exposure within the operation. You'll partner closely with our client's mine planning team to ensure designs, reserves, and schedules support the mines progression. Your key duties will include:
  • Optimisation of designs and schedules, enhancing fleet mix across planning horizons.
  • Management of Drill and Blast systems.
  • Collaboration with client mine planning team to strategize and coordinate the Thiess plan.
  • Engagement with key stakeholders on short-term planning and operational challenges.
  • Communication of evolving plans within the team.
  • Relationship building with the operations team to foster strong working dynamics.
  • Analysis of coal reconciliation along with mine rehabilitation design, planning, and execution.
  • Reporting on weekly and monthly production metrics.
  • Flexible work arrangements may be considered for this role.
About You
