Job summary

Envato is hiring a senior backend-focused engineer to join our Content Management team. You’ll ship features end-to-end, be challenged by complex, high-impact systems, and work with AI-assisted tooling while maintaining strong engineering craft.

You’ll pair with senior staff, own production issues, and contribute to a culture that values learning, accountability and innovative approaches to problems.

Qualifications

• You have experience building software with strong backend capability and pride yourself on clean, well-tested code.
• Ruby on Rails would be useful, though experience in a comparable framework matters as well.
• You’re comfortable debugging production issues and taking ownership until it’s solved, with a continual learning mindset.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of features from first discussion through production delivery.
• Collaborate with Lead and Senior Engineers, pairing and solving problems together.
• Build reliable, maintainable software and help improve processes and tooling.
