Job summary

Consolidated Power Projects (CPP) is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Adelaide-based design and engineering team. You’ll work on civil design for high-voltage substations, transmission lines, and renewables, collaborating with senior engineers to deliver practical, safe solutions.

You’ll contribute to stormwater, earthworks, pavements, and access roads, with a focus on constructibility and compliance. A three-year track record in civil design is ideal, with AutoCAD and 12d experience highly

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering with professional registration preferred.
• Minimum three years' experience in civil design within energy, utilities, mining, or major infra.
• Experience in bulk earthworks, stormwater drainage, pavements and access roads.
• Experience producing engineering drawings and construction specifications.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D bulk earthworks modelling (12d), DRAINS or HEC-RAS.

• Undertake civil design tasks from client requirements to Issued for Construction designs.
• Contribute across stormwater drainage, bulk earthworks, pavements and access roads.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs are practical, constructible and compliant.

Design & Engineering

CPP has the largest in-house design and engineering team of any contractor in Australia, with over 170 specialists across Electrical Primary and Secondary, Civil, Structural, and SCADA disciplines. The Opportunity

We’re expanding our civil design engineering capability and are looking for an Engineer - Civil to join CPP’s highly experienced in-house national design and engineering team. If you’re passionate about civil design and want to develop your career while contributing to renewable energy infrastructure, this is an opportunity to work on complex, nationally significant projects.

Working closely with our Senior and Principal Engineers, you’ll undertake civil engineering design tasks from the definition of client requirements and initial planning through to the development of concept and Issued for Construction designs. Your work will support the delivery of practical and safe civil solutions for high-voltage substations, battery storage systems and renewable energy projects.

You’ll contribute across a range of civil design elements, including stormwater drainage, bulk earthworks, pavements and access roads. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team of engineers, project managers and construction professionals, you’ll help ensure designs are accurate, constructible, compliant and aligned with project requirements.

About You

Desired Skills and Experience

• A degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification, with professional engineering registration highly regarded
• At least three years’ experience in civil design, ideally within the energy, utilities, mining or major infrastructure sectors
• Practical experience in civil design areas such as bulk earthworks, stormwater drainage, pavements and access roads
• Experience preparing engineering drawings, design reports and construction specifications
• Experience using AutoCAD and 3D bulk earthworks modelling software such as 12d
• Experience with stormwater catchment and drainage modelling software such as DRAINS or HEC-RAS
• Whilst not essential, experience in high-voltage substations, utility grid connections or multidisciplinary renewable energy projects will be highly regarded
