Job summary

Teys Australia is seeking an Engine Driver/Trade Assistant to join the Maintenance Team at the Biloela site in Central Queensland. The role involves operating, repairing and maintaining industrial engine steam and related mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities include managing ammonia refrigeration plants and steam boilers, performing inspections, and collaborating with the maintenance team while following safety guidelines. A boiler license and ammonia experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with industry regulations and safety practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a rotating 12-hour shift.
• Boiler operation licenses required.
• Experience operating ammonia refrigeration plants.
• Forklift certification or experience operating forklifts.
• Mechanical background and understanding.
• Additional refrigeration or boiler certifications encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain ammonia refrigeration plants to ensure safe, efficient operation.
• Monitor steam boilers and ensure performance within required parameters.
• Conduct regular inspections, repairs and preventive maintenance to avoid downtime.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team on routine activities.
• Adhere to safety guidelines to maintain a secure working environment.
• Continuously monitor/evaluate equipment and make adjustments as needed.

About the Role

About You:

You must havethe following experience/skills:

• Forklift license orexperience operating forklifts.
• Mechanical background andunderstanding.
• Additional certifications or licenses relatedto refrigeration, boilers, or related fields.
