The JBS Townsville Plant is seeking an Engagement & Support Coordinator to join the HR team in a full-time capacity. You will support the Pacific Labour Scheme workforce through the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, initial onboarding activities, and ongoing pastoral care of internationally sourced staff through the PALM Program.

Additionally, you will coordinate and process all necessary paperwork to ensure legal compliance as candidates move to the offer stage and after

Qualifications

• Must have full Australian working rights.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Extensive end-to-end recruitment experience, preferably blue-collar.
• Experience with offshore recruitment and mobility.
• Experience coordinating PALM Scheme activities.
• Experience with NZ Recognised Seasonal Employer (RSE) scheme.
• Experience with AE under the PALM Scheme.
• Knowledge of PALM Scheme Pacific Island Countries.
• Demonstrated ability to provide situational leadership.
• Calm under pressure with strong customer service focus and attention to detail.

Job description

The JBS Townsville Plant is currently recruiting a passionate Engagement & Support Coordinator to join the HR team in a full-time capacity. Working closely with the HR team, you will be responsible for providing support to the Pacific Labour Scheme (PLS) workforce through the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, delivery of the initial onboarding activities, as well as the ongoing pastoral care of our internationally sourced employee groups through the PALM (Pacific Australia Labour Mobility) Program.

Additionally, this role will ensure the timely and efficient coordination and processing of all necessary paperwork to ensure legal compliance as the candidates move to the offer stage and then upon acceptance of the offer, will be responsible for the accurate processing of all paperwork related to a new hire/transfer.

About You

• Must have full Australian working rights (e.g. NZ Citizen or AU citizen or resident)
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Strong end-to-end recruitment experience, ideally within a large blue-collar workforce
• Working knowledge and application with offshore recruitment, including mobility
• Experience working with the PLF in coordinating/supporting the PALM Scheme
• Experience working with the NZ Recognised Seasonal Employer (RSE) scheme
• Experience working with an AE under the auspices of the PALM Scheme
• Knowledge of worker placements from one of the nine Pacific Island Countries covered by the PALM Scheme
• Demonstrated ability to provide situational leadership
• Ability to respond calmly in difficult situations whilst maintaining a strong customer service focus
• Strong attention to detail
